Upcycling — the seven phases
“Upcycling your life” helps you in your personal life as well as everyone else that you guide in following Christ. It is about the way to God the Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. God is a God of relationships as well as a God of multiplication. That is why Jesus wants us to invest in people around us:
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:18-20).
Paul also calls us to pass on what we have learned and writes, “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Tim. 2:2).
Is it not enough that we are redeemed and know Christ? Do we really need “Upcycling” for our lives?
Redemption is a gift (see 1 Cor. 1:30). Nevertheless we need to be transformed into the image of Jesus. The entire Bible is aimed at this point. Along the way to redemption there are seen stages that people, whom God loves, continually pass through an by so doing take part of the righteousness of God. In what follows these seven stages is called “The Cycle of Renewal”, or “CR” for short.
The Seven Phases of the Cycle of Renewal
- clear revelation and accusation
- deep repentance before God and the people who are effected
- real forgiveness
- happy reconciliation
- serious reparation
- astounding restoration
- new, valuable fear of God, inner fellowship and celebration with Him
